      Your spouse or partner would like to move or buy another home. You seem very neutral about this.

      Finance and Career

      Things start off slowly this year. Until March 12, your aspects are so-so. Nothing especially great, nothing terrible. The real action begins March 12, as your career planet moves into Aries in your 12th house. Shortly after that, on June 4, Jupiter moves into your own sign. This will initiate prosperity that will continue into 2012 as well.

      So be patient, do what needs to be done and don’t worry. The year starts with a whimper but ends with a bang.

      When Jupiter moves into someone’s sign, it is an indicator of the good life. This is a time for the high lifestyle – good restaurants, gourmet food, travel, nice clothing and accessories. It is a time for realizing many of your constructive ‘fleshly fantasies’.

      The universe is a ‘desire-fulfilment mechanism’. Its whole purpose is to manifest a person’s desires. If certain desires can’t be fulfilled in one life, the person will come back and fulfil them in another. All desires can’t be fulfilled at once, so the powers of the zodiac regulate these things. So, when Jupiter moves into your 1st house, many desires of the flesh get fulfilled.

      Jupiter’s move into your 1st house has other messages, too. Since it rules your 8th house it shows that borrowing opportunities are coming. Those of you who want to pay off or refinance debt will have the opportunity to do so. Investors – for those of you who are seeking them – will come looking for you. This transit also shows alimony payments (for those where this applies), insurance and royalty payments and, in many cases, an inheritance. (Keep in mind that no one need actually die: you could be the recipient of a trust fund, or be named in someone’s will, or otherwise benefit from a death.)

      With the lord of the 8th house so prominent in your chart, it is very easy to incur debt. The challenge is to be responsible about this. If debt is abused this year, there is a real danger of bankruptcy or foreclosure. If you are responsible in your finances, you need not fear.

      We see many career changes happening this year – you had a foretaste last year, but now the Uranus move into Aries is full blown. First off, this suggests great independence in your career. You want to be in control of your own destiny. Many of you will be offered opportunities at better companies, with a higher salary and higher status – more authority and responsibility. This could have happened last year, but is also likely early this year.

      Neptune, the most spiritual of all the planets, has been in your 10th house for many years. This indicates someone who fosters the career through involvement with charities and altruistic causes. This trend continues in the year ahead. (Neptune moves out of your 10th house, but your career planet moves into the spiritual 12th house.) In many cases this shows an actual spiritual-type career – being an executive or employee of a charity or charitable organization, being in the ministry, or some other spiritual endeavour.

      Those of you who employ others probably need to cut back on staff. Focus on quality. Fewer workers who are good are preferable to a bloated staff of mediocre people.

      There are two eclipses in your money house this year. This shows important financial changes and shifts in strategy. My feeling is that you have been too pessimistic – things are better than they seem, and the eclipses will show you this.

      Love and Social Life

      Your 7th house of love and marriage is not a ‘house of power’ this year. Marrieds will tend to stay married, singles will tend to stay single. The cosmos isn’t pushing you one way or the other. However, later on in 2011 Uranus starts to move into a stressful alignment with your love planet. This will test a current relationship. Good relationships will survive. The real testing of your marriage or current love will happen in future years. This year is just a ‘foretaste’.

      Singles have love this year – but whether this ends up in marriage is another story – doubtful. In July, Jupiter will make beautiful aspects to your love planet, and this will bring an important love meeting. You might not marry, but it is someone you would consider marrying.

      In 2008, your Love Planet, Pluto, made a major move from Sagittarius into Capricorn and this created a shift that you are still experiencing now. The dimension of mind and communication opened up to you. You are turned on by a person’s mind and communication skills as much as by his or her material wealth. In fact, if the mental compatibility is not there, it is doubtful whether you would be happy no matter how wealthy the partner.

      You are cautious in love – and rightly so. You take longer to fall in love – you want to test the other person’s love and commitment before committing yourself.

      For singles, love opportunities will be close to home. Love opportunities also happen in educational settings – at school, the library, or at a lecture or seminar. For marrieds, these are the scenes for social opportunity.

      Your horoscope shows not only your needs in love, but also how to treat a relationship that is troubled. Here the message is to open up good communication each with the other. Strengthen the mental bonds between you. Develop common intellectual interests which you can pursue as a couple – i.e. take courses or attend lectures together as a couple. Of course, good sexual chemistry will cover many sins as well.

      Those working on a second marriage have good aspects this year (and for many years to come). In many cases this shows reconciliation with a former partner, in other cases it shows getting involved with someone who is similar to a former partner but who behaves in the way that you wanted your former partner to behave.

      Those working on a third marriage had beautiful aspects last year, and probably married or got involved in a relationship that was ‘like’ a marriage. The aspects are still good for a third marriage early in the year.

      The year ahead seems sexually active – especially after June 4, as the ruler of your 8th house enters your sign. Regardless of your age or stage in life, libido will be enhanced. Sexual opportunities seek you out. You project an image (perhaps unconsciously) of greater sex appeal, and others take notice.

      Self-improvement

      We mentioned earlier that spirituality is becoming a major interest in your life. Those born under the sign of Taurus are down-to-earth people, hard workers, focused on the things of the earth. But now you will learn that one moment of true intuition – one spiritual insight – is more powerful than all of your hard work. Being ‘other worldly’ has practical benefits. This is not the reason to engage in spirituality, but it is the natural side-effect.

      Spirituality is very much a part of your career, and there are many possible scenarios here. As you involve yourself in charitable and altruistic activities, you meet the people who can help your career. Selfless service is a way of clearing negative karmic momentums – it balances old karma that has been holding you back.

      Those of you not yet on a spiritual path will probably get on the path in coming years. Those already on the path will make much progress. In fact, your mission this year – and for the next seven years or so – is your spiritual work. Make it your mission and you will see fast progress.
