      Quhou Jove beheld the large costis on fer,

      Baith goddis and men be thyne etern empyre,

      And oft affrays with thundyr and wyldfyre,

      Quhou mycht myne Ene sa gretly the offend?

      Or quhat mycht Troianys trespas, quhilk now at end

      Ar brocht and sufferit, sa feill corsis laid ded,

      Throu owt the warld debarrit in euery sted,

      And drevin from Itale? Thou hecht vmquhile, persay.
