      3 A person decides that they want to make a career change in their lives. This time the individual realizes the fact that they have to set their goal and road-map the steps that it is going to take to get there. They determine if this goal for them is, indeed, a realistic one and can be accomplished and then if it can, make that commitment to commiting themselves each and everyday of their lives to disciplining themselves each and every day until that goal is reached. To that person who fulfilled the commitment their visions of dreams then become a reality.

      Commitment is just one of the steps required to accomplish your goal in life, but it is a very important one that has got to be carried through from the very first step until you reach the destination where your goal lies and the final step to get there. In some cases commitment to a goal or reward is a lifelong commitment. No one can succeed in life without a commitment to success. Nobody forces you into making any commitment. That commitment is totally up to you. Whether your life remains a vision of dreams or becomes a reality totally depends on if you are ready to commit yourself to making the commitment.

      Pay it Forward

      As I look through my eyes of Curi Osity I ask you, “Has anyone ever paid it forward to you? Have you ever paid it forward to anyone?” It happened to me and it was a great feeling. He’s my story:

      Many years ago I remember returning home traveling from Milwaukee to Minneapolis. Before I left Minneapolis for Milwaukee I had just put four brand new Seiberling tires on my car plus a full size spare tire. In route to Milwaukee one of my tires blew out on the car where the plies had separated. I continued with my journey to Milwaukee. After spending a couple of days in Milwaukee I jumped back in my car and started heading back home to Minneapolis. When I got close to the Wisconsin Dells area while driving on the freeway I had a second blowout. This time I had no spare tire. I was helpless on the side of the road. A gentleman pulled up in his vehicle and told me that he would take me to the gas station to get a new tire. The gas station was about five miles down the road and he waited with me for about a hour until a new tire was installed on the rim that had the blowout. The gentleman then drove back five miles to my vehicle. I offered to give the man money for his inconvenience. The gentleman refused to take any money whatsoever. What the gentleman did say to me was that if you ever come across someone who needed help please pay it forward to them. He also informed me that someone had paid it forward to him so he paid it forward to me.

      Sure enough as time passed a time came when I came across someone along the side of the highway in Minneapolis. I stopped along the side of the highway to help him and he, too, offered to pay me. I explained to him how someone had helped me and that all he asked was that I would pay it forward to someone who needed help. I told the man that I was helping and that I also didn’t want any money but that if he ever came across someone who needed help to pay it forward to them, and he agreed. We both had a real good feeling as we left. The bottom line is when you pay it forward to others you also reap the reward from acts of good faith and so does everyone else.

      We Are All at the Same Starting Line

      From the moment that we are born and enter into this world we are all at the same starting line. As time passed by you began to grow up and mature into an older person and your lifestyle began to change. The beautiful part of it is that everyone as they grow older at birth matures and goes their own ways. Who we are and what we are as we grow up are the direct result of our own actions. At times we do things in life that we later on begin to regret that we did. That’s ok, everyone makes mistakes in their lives, it’s expected and nobody is perfect in any way shape or form.

      The important thing to remember is that when you make a mistake during your process of growing older, and you will make mistakes, it is so important to accept those mistakes and learn from them and don’t live in the lifestyles of your mistakes. It is not a healthy environment to live in.

      If you are not happy with your life now remember this, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” Today right now at this very second you can live your life how you want to, within reason of course. You have got to change your mindset. You don’t have to live the way that you are living if you are unhappy with your life. You can make that change right now. Don’t dwell on the past that you are now living in, dwell on HOW you are going to change the past that you are living in. You have the ability to change. So……….what are you waiting for? CHANGE! and make that change RIGHT NOW!
