If this is the lifestyle that you have been living, based on wishes and visions of dreams, then you need to stop what you are doing right now at this very moment and make the commitment to yourself that you are going to set realistic goals to turn your wishes and dreams into reality. I want you to stop right now at this very moment and if you have a wish or a dream that you want to accomplish in your life then I want you to set a goal and a destination that you need to set to turn your wishes and visions of dreams into reality. You have got to set your goals. What steps are you going to take realistically day by day to reach your destination and then document your progress each and every day of your life to reach your destination? Remember in life, if you never take a step day by day in your life to reach to where you want to be in your life you will never walk a mile. Once you set your goal and take your steps to get there you can never ever stop until you reach your destination. Only then can you turn your wishes and visions of dreams into reality. If you don’t make that commitment to yourself and take action the goals that you set will never ever happen and that’s all your wishes and dreams will ever be is what they are. Only with persistance, dedication, and commitment can it ever be turned into a reality. Trust me when that happens and you reach your goal you as a person will feel amazing. Remember the only person who can set your life straight is you and you alone. You are totally in charge of your own life and whatever decision you make the bottom line is you and you alone is the one who has to live with it. Besides, once you make that commitment you will see how wonderful life can actually be and your lifestyle will begin to be a whoe lot healthier and your life will take on new meaning.
What Drives You Crazy?
Curi Osity wants to know, What drives you crazy?
This is a fun chapter. Everyone has certain things in life that drives them crazy. I thought I would list a few of the things that drive me crazy. Here are just a few of them.
Going to a grocery store or discount store and getting a bad shopping cart. How many times have you gone to a store and grabbed a shopping cart that either veers to the left or veers to the right, pushes on three wheels instead of four, the weld joints on the bottom are separated and the cart rattles when you push it or you grab a railroad cart that clunk, clunk, cluck, clunks as you push it down the isle. Not to mention the cart that you have to literally push to get it going. It definitely makes for a very irritating shopping experience. A bad cart like this makes me want to get out of the store but a nice quiet cart that roll nice wants to make me shop.
A leaky faucet making a constant drip, drip, drip sound
When people don’t flush the toilet or urinal in a public place after using it.
People that come to you for donations but when you ask them for a donation it’s a no.
Drivers that pass you and then slow down in front of you.
Bright blue car headlights.
People who don’t change the toilet paper rolls or paper towel dispenser when it is empty.
People who don’t clean up after themselves.
Getting food that should be served hot and it ends up being cold.
Interruptions around my plate when I’m trying to eat my lunch.
These are just a few things, I’m sure you can think of a lot of things yourself. It’s perfectly normal for you to experience things in your life that bother you and really are very minor but the key to everything is don’t let it continue to bother your life. Get over it and just lightly move on to the positive things in life. Remember a positive attitude is a positive latitude.
We All Make Mistakes
Looking back on your life how many times have you said to yourself these words, “If I would have known back then what I know now I would have …”
We all make mistakes in life and we learn to learn from our mistakes. The beautiful part of our lives is that we do not have to live in the past. Remember that today is the first day of the rest of your life. Now that you know how you would have lived your life through your past experience there has never been a better time than today to move on with your life.
You cannot change the history of your past but the beautiful part of it is that you don’t have to keep living in it. All you have to do is to change your mindset. It doesn’t cost a thing to do. You can do it right now at this very minute. If you keep telling yourself, ”If I would have known back then what I know now I would have …,” you will keep on living in the lifestyle of the past and that is the way your life will continue to be.
Put the past in the past and chart a new course in the path that you walk in your life. Right now I want you to ask yourself, “What have I always wanted to do in my life?” Then ask yourself, “If I pursue my dream is it a dream that if I committed myself to that I could, indeed, turn my visions of dreams into a reality?” “Is it a dream or a goal of mine that realistically I could achieve?”
Be realistic about your visions of dreams that you want to turn into a reality. For example me as a writer and author of this book could not set a goal to be a marathon runner because I have a steel plate in my left leg, a pin in my ankle and two knee replacements, even though that is what I may want to do. Realistically, I decided to choose a goal in my life that I wanted to do and could accomplish which would be writing this book that you are reading right now at this very moment. I wanted to write a book that would be inspirational to everyone who would read it with the goal of the book changing the reader’s life for the better. Had I not committed myself to writing a book with goals of the book enhancing the lives of all our readers and made the commitment to take that day by day step to reach our destination then you wouldn’t be reading this book right now at this very moment. Heck, at the time of writing this book I am 58 years young. Keeping a positive state of mind is everything. It is never too late in your life to commit yourself to accomplishing a realistic goal that you want and can achieve. Think of how good you will feel after you do. In this case because of the commitment and persistence to setting the goal, I was able to turn my visions of dreams into a reality into the publishing of this book that you are reading right now at this very moment and it feels great to know that this could change the lives for the better to all of our readers. Hopefully this book is giving you a new positive outlook on your life and it will if you make it a point to do so.
Commit Yourself to Going the Distance
We all have wants, needs, desires, and goals throughout the entire course of our lives. The question being, “How many of us really acquire the things that we set out to do in life?” One of the reasons that we fall short of accomplishing our goals is that we fall short of the commitments that we make. When you set out to accomplish a goal you have GOT to commit yourself to pursuing that goal each and every day until you reach that goal. Once you break that commitment to going the distance you have instantly ended any chance of ever reaching your goal.
Let me give you several examples:
1 A person who is overweight makes the commitment to setting a realistic goal to losing 25 pounds of weight over the next two months. The commitment being is commiting yourself to exercise daily and eating healthy food everyday to reach that two month goal. Once you break that commitment the goal set becomes null and void.
