If you feel under the weather, do something that is fun. Keep the belly laughs going, and avoid depression like the plague.

      There is great focus on health this month. Many planets are in Virgo (the sign of health) and your 6th house (the house that rules health). This is good news. You are on the case. You’re not letting little things develop into bigger problems.

      This power in Virgo and the 6th house is also good news for job seekers. There is good fortune and many job opportunities.

      Last month the planetary power made an important shift from East to West. At least 70 per cent (and sometimes 80 per cent) of the planets are now in the Western sector. Your cycle of personal independence is over for now. It will be much more difficult to change conditions and circumstances now. (It can be done, but with great, great effort.) It is best now to adapt to situations and make note of what displeases you. Then, when your cycle of personal independence returns, you can make these changes. For now you are living with the conditions that you yourself created, experiencing the karma, good or bad. You’ve had six months of developing your personal initiative and now the Cosmos is calling on you to hone and develop your social skills. It has its own ways of doing this, which are different for each person. Taureans in general have good social skills, but there is always room for improvement.

      On August 23, as the Sun moved into your 5th house of fun and creativity, you entered another yearly personal pleasure peak. This continues until the 23rd of this month. A party period. Personal creativity will be stronger than usual too, and your ability to relate to children is enhanced. After the 23rd you enter a more serious, work-oriented period. This is a good time to do those menial, detailed, boring tasks that everyone tends to put off – your accounts, balancing the cheque book, filing, etc.

      When Mars left your 7th house on the 14th of last month, love should have become a bit easier. Power struggles in love are never fun. But two eclipses this month will further test your relationship – as if you didn’t have enough of this already! Relationships that have survived the testing of the past two years will probably survive anything, but less perfect relationships will most likely founder. Taureans don’t like change, even if the change is ultimately good. They have a tendency to ‘hang on’ to things and sometimes the Cosmos has to use drastic measures to pry them loose. No one ‘hangs in there’ like a Taurus.

      Two eclipses – one on the 8th and one on the 23rd – are the main headlines for the month.

      The Lunar Eclipse on the 8th is relatively benign to you, but it won’t hurt to reduce your schedule anyway. It occurs in your 12th house of spirituality, signalling long-term changes in your spiritual practice, teachers and teachings. (Your spiritual planet, Mars, is ‘out of bounds’ all month, suggesting that you are going outside your normal boundaries in your spiritual practice – taking a less beaten path.) There are shake-ups and upheavals in spiritual organizations or charities that you are involved with. Every Lunar Eclipse will test your car and communication equipment and affects communication in general, and this one is no exception. Therefore it is a good idea to drive more defensively during this period too. This eclipse occurs exactly on Uranus, your career planet, indicating that important career changes are happening now. Even if you stay in the same career or job, the ‘rules of the game’ seem changed. There are dramatic events in the lives of parents, parent figures and bosses too. This eclipse also ‘sideswipes’ Pluto, your love planet, leading to more testing of a current relationship. Partnerships and friendships will also get tested.

      The Solar Eclipse of the 23rd has a stronger effect on you, so take it nice and easy and avoid (where possible) stressful or risky activities. If you can, reschedule such activities for another time. The eclipse occurs in your 7th house of love and marriage. So, as we mentioned, a current relationship, a partnership gets tested once again. Every Solar Eclipse affects the home and family and this one is no different. Family members are apt to be more temperamental. Dramas happen with a parent or parent figure.

      Health needs watching from the 23rd onwards. As always, the first line of defence is the maintenance of high energy levels. Thus rest and relax more. If you can, schedule in some massages or some time in a health spa; that would be wonderful. Enhance health in the ways mentioned in the yearly report, but in addition give more attention to the kidneys and hips until the 23rd, and to the colon, bladder and sexual organs afterwards. Detox regimes will be powerful from the 23rd onwards.

      Love, as we mentioned, is being severely tested, but there is some good news here too. On the 23rd of last month you entered a yearly social peak, and this continues until November 22. There is a stronger focus on love and this focus – this drive – enables you to handle all the various challenges that arise. A given relationship might be problematic, but the overall love life is good – very active now. Marriage is still unlikely and still not advisable, but you can enjoy the ample social opportunities that are happening for what they are.

      You have been personally more popular since October 23rd. You are going out of your way for others. You are there for your friends. You are more aggressive in love, going after what you want.

      Health is still delicate until the 22nd. Review our discussion of this last month. You can enhance the health in the ways mentioned last month, but after the 17th give more attention to the liver and thighs. Regular thigh massage will be good. Health and energy will be much improved after the 22nd.

      Finances are a bit more challenging this month. Mercury, your financial planet, is far away from his natural home, wandering in a far country. He is not as strong as he could be. Generally Taurus is most comfortable when focused on his or her own financial interests. But this month the Cosmos calls you to focus on the financial interests of others – to even consider them ahead of your own. As you help others to prosper, your own prosperity naturally happens. Also this kind of thinking will make any proposals you want to make much easier to sell.

      The eclipses of last month are still being felt. Uranus, your career planet, is camping out on an eclipse point all month. Therefore career changes are afoot. There are dramatic changes in your company and industry and dramas in the lives of parents, parent figures and bosses.

      Mars travels with Pluto from the 8th to the 12th and squares Uranus from the 12th to the 14th – a very dynamic transit. It further reinforces the career changes that we mentioned above.
