Over the past decade, metasurfaces have been developed into a novel paradigm of modern science and technology. They offer possibilities to manipulate electromagnetic waves that were simply unthinkable even 10 years ago. They have already led to a myriad of new applications, reported in uncountable scientic publications. Moreover, they have recently started to make their way into the industry in a most promising fashion.
