      Retrograde activity among the planets is greatly increased this month, and by the end of the month half of the planets will be in retrograde motion. The pace of life slows down, and this is as it should be. It is a good time to take your vacation. There is nothing much happening in the world and your 5th house of fun becomes stronger than usual.

      On the 23rd of last month, as the Sun entered your 5th house of fun, you entered one of your yearly personal peaks. This is in effect until the 23rd of this month. It’s party time, a time to explore the rapture of life. This personal pleasure peak will be stronger than in most past years as Jupiter is also in the 5th house at the beginning of the month. By the 23rd you will have got some of the high spirits out of your system and will be ready to get more serious in the weeks to come.

      Retrograde activity among the planets is still intense, but it is a little less than last month – only 40 per cent of the planets are retrograde. The most important retrograde for you to consider is the rare retrograde of Venus which began late last month (on the 25th). This shows that a review is in order of both the financial and love life. This is not a time for making major purchases, investments or love decisions, but for doing your homework on these matters.

      Venus retrograde will not stop earnings or love, but will slow things down a bit. A payment that was promised can be delayed. A cheque you received can bounce – perhaps due to errors at the bank or in the sender’s accounting. That great deal on an appliance might turn out to be not such a great deal a few weeks down the road when you find the same item (or a better one) for less in another store. Those shares that you thought were so unbelievably cheap get even cheaper with time. Caution. Caution. Caution.

      In spite of the retrograde there are some nice financial and romantic happenings. Venus travels with Jupiter from the 3rd to the 6th. A nice payday and/or romantic meeting is indicated, but it might be delayed because of the retrograde. There is luck in speculations during that period too – only don’t lose or misplace your lottery ticket.

      There is luck in speculation from the 26th to the 28th too, when the Sun travels with Jupiter. Those of you into the creative arts are especially inspired during this period, and children or children figures of the appropriate age are especially fertile.

      Jupiter makes a major move into your 6th house of health and work on the 11th, and will be there well into 2016. This a great aspect for job seekers; there are dream jobs out there for you. The month ahead, in general, is good for job seekers – especially after the 23rd.

      Your career planet, Saturn, starts to move forward on August 2. Clarity and direction is happening in your career now, and pretty soon – in the next two months – you can start taking overt actions in this sphere. Right now, however, most of the planets are still below the horizon and the focus is still on home and family.

      There is a hectic and active month ahead, Aries, with lots and lots of changes going on. Venus, your love and financial planet, starts to move forward on the 6th. Your career planet Saturn changes signs and houses on the 18th. And, last but not least, we will have two eclipses this month.

      Eclipses tend to be disruptive kinds of events, but there is a cosmic purpose behind them. Sometimes individuals are on the wrong track. Sometimes we make plans that are not in our highest cosmic interest. The eclipse comes and shatters these plans and we have little alternative but to get on the right track. In this sense they are blessings, but they are not so pleasant while they are happening.

      The solar eclipse of the 13th occurs in your 6th house of health and work. It indicates job changes, disruptions at work, a change in the conditions of work and dramatic events in the lives of co-workers or employees. If you employ others the eclipse signals employee turnover – instability in the workforce. All of this will turn out well, as benevolent Jupiter is also in your 6th house. The job changes will work out well. You will find a better and higher-paying job – very soon. The same is true with employees. New and better ones are coming into the picture. There will be important changes in the health regime over the next six months.

      Every solar eclipse has an impact on children and children figures, so it is advisable to keep them out of harm’s way during this period. They don’t need to be involved in risky activities.

      The lunar eclipse of the 28th (in the Americas it happens on the 27th) occurs in your own sign and seems to continue the work of the solar eclipse of March 20. You have not yet finished redefining yourself and your image. Whatever has been left undone from the earlier eclipse gets done now. It is good, even healthy, to redefine ourselves periodically. And the eclipse forces the issue. Often we are forced to define and redefine ourselves because people are slandering and bad mouthing us. False impressions get created and it is up to us to create the right one.

      Since this eclipse occurs in your own sign, make sure to take it easy during this period. Avoid risk taking or high stress kinds of activities. Every lunar eclipse affects the home and family and this one is no different. There can be a need for repairs to be made in the home. Or perhaps you find unwelcome pests in the attic or basement. Flaws get revealed so that corrective action can happen. Family members will probably have dramas in their lives and life-changing kinds of experiences. As always be patient with them during this period, they are apt to be highly strung.
