      UG 37. The healing of the demoniac in the Capernaum synagogue (Mk 1:21b, 23—28; Lk 4:33—37)

      37:1 And straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. (Mk 1:21b)

      37:2 And there was in their synagogue a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, (Mk 1:23; Lk 4:33)

      37:3 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. (Mk 1:24; Lk 4:34)

      37:4 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. (Mk 1:25; Lk 4:35)

      37:5 And when the unclean spirit [of the] devil had thrown him in the midst, torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him, and hurt him not. (Mk 1:26; Lk 4:35)

      37:6 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority and power commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him, and come out. (Mk 1:27; Lk 4:36)

      UG 38. Healing of Simon’s mother-in-law (Mt 8:14—15; Mk 1:29—31; Lk 4:38—39)

      38:1 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon Peter and Andrew, with James and John. (Mt 8:14; Mk 1:29; Lk 4:38)

      38:2 But Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. (Mt 8:14; Mk 1:30; Lk 4:38)

      38:3 And he came and saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. (Mt 8:14; Mk 1:31)

      38:4 He stood over her, took her by the hand, lifted her up, and rebuked the fever; and immediately the fever left her, she arose and ministered unto them. (Mt 8:15; Mk 1:31; Lk 4:39)

      39:1 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him many that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. (Mt 8:16; Mk 1:32; Lk 4:40)

      39:3 And he healed all that were sick of divers diseases, laiding his hands on every one of them. (Mt 8:16; Mk 1:34; Lk 4:40)

      39:6 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. (Mt 8:17)

      UG 40. Evangelism in the Galilee (Mt 4:23—25; Mk 1:35—39; Lk 4:42—44)

      40:1 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary desert place, and there prayed. (Mk 1:35; Lk 4:42)

      40:2 And when it was day, the people sought him. (Mk 1:37; Lk 4:42)

      40:3 Simon and they that were with him followed after him. (Mk 1:36; Lk 4:42)

      40:4 And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee, that he should not depart from them. (Mk 1:37; Lk 4:42)

      40:5 And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent, for therefore came I forth. (Mk 1:38; Lk 4:43)

      40:6 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people, and cast out devils. (Mt 4:23; Mk 1:39; Lk 4:44)

      40:7 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. (Mt 4:24)

      40:8 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. (Mt 4:25)

      UG 41. Healing the leper (Mt 8:2—4; Mk 1:40—45; Lk 5:12—16)

      41:1 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, there came a leper to him, worshipped him, and kneeling down to him, beseeching him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. (Mt 8:2; Mk 1:40; Lk 5:12)

      41:2 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. (Mt 8:3; Mk 1:41; Lk 5:13)

      41:3 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. (Mt 8:3; Mk 1:42; Lk 5:13)

      41:4 And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; (Mk 1:43)

      41:5 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. (Mt 8:4; Mk 1:44; Lk 5:14)

      41:6 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter. (Mk 1:45)

      41:7 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. (Lk 5:15)

      41:8 Insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed. And they came to him from every quarter. (Mk 1:45; Lk 5:16)

      UG 42. Healing of the paralytic in Capernaum (Mt 9:1—8; Mk 2:1—12; Lk 5:17—26)

      42:1 After some days he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city, and again he entered into Capernaum; and it was noised that he was in the house. (Mt 9:1; Mk 2:1)

      42:2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. (Mk 2:2)

      42:3 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. (Lk 5:17)

      42:4 And, behold, four men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: (Mk 2:3; Lk 5:18)

      42:5 And they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. (Lk 5:18)
