СКАЧАТЬ her at her best,

And during the course of the day

      Her extraordinary beauty she displays.

Beauty that upstages the neighboring view.

Cherry Hill on high, where many are conceived

And lots of fair maidens have been deceived.

      While cherries are being reaped

      Upon this forever charming hill

Twinkling stars, with their lights gleaming.

Roaring cars, with their headlights beaming,

Some hiding under the shadow of the night,

Playing lovers songs, and wishing upon

      Each shooting star they see.

That their union will last forever.

Some soon to regret the fruit they yield,

      Some conceiving while being deceived.

Wishing they could reclaim the fruit

They allowed to be picked on Cherry Hill,

And cursed the hill for their visit

And the virtue they have lost.

      Sell Me a Dream

Mr. Dream Merchant, please sell me a dream

And please make it an expensive one.

      Cheapness is not for me.

Please tailor it especially for me,

No one else should it fit.

Make it all cash, credit doesn’t seem to work.

Maybe if I invest someone else’s hard-earned dollar,

It may come true at last.

Cash and carry is the way to go.

Credit has too much interest and delay,

And my credit score is too low anyway.

      Let it be lighting quick.

I am running out of time

And I need it like yesterday.

I will put in a few more dollars,

      Please send it by express.

      My patience is running thin,

And I can’t afford to lose this bid.

Mr. Dream Merchant, I have no time to waste or wait,

      The anticipation is getting strong.

      Please send some painkillers,

      I don’t want to feel a thing.

      And please include some tranquilizers

So I can pass the time with sleep.

I have wasted a lot of years, and nothing have I gained.

I don’t want to work too hard

For success, easy does it, I say.

Contrary to popular belief, laziness is my way.

So while you are working on my dream,

It would be grand if you can find

Someone to dream, my dream for me.

Don’t want to work too hard for success.

Let me rest on my back relaxing under a shady tree.

Sit me down in a cool meadow,

Or in a cozy air-conditioned room

Where I don’t have to sweat

Just enjoy the luxurious lazy way.

      The captain worries not

About the depth of the ocean

While his ship is afloat, but of the length

Of his anchor chain, if it will hold.

      The Vulture

      In a class by himself

And as such, it is called unique

No one envies them for their job,

One that is in high demand.

They perch upon the highest tree or cliff

      Overlooking their targeted domain.

Usually on the outskirts of town,

      And frequently circling the perimeters

In high hopes of discovering a meal.

Wishing for death to call some creature

So that they can eat and be merry,

      Always finding a station upwind

Since the wind is their most reliable messenger

To their keen sense of smell.

Though most people favored other birds

      For their splendid colors

Such as the peacock and the cockatoo,

And for food, they favored the chicken

Turkey, ducks, quails, and the pheasant.

And the other exotic birds, they choose as pets,

We are glad they resent us.

So our species can gamely flourish

      While we enjoy our freedom.

No hunting for game and ending up

On a platter, or cooped up on a farm,

Or perhaps stuffed and mounted on a wall,

Or caged, in some lonesome house.
