The smile he got back melted his last reservations from his heart. Then Hera said,

"I am not really that hungry today. Besides we have already exhausted all that is on their menu. Why don't we order a picnic basket so we can go down to that river spot that you and I love. Suddenly I don't want to share you with anyone else."

With his heart in his mouth Hutch could not reply. So he nodded his head vigoriously.

After the picnic the two of them were lying on the bank of the local river. Hera was so close to Hutch he was being swamped with her perfume. Then she touched his face. He leaned to kiss her at just the right moment. They were about to get very naughty when both their smartphone went ballistic. Hera switched her's off a second before Hutch. They then looked deep into each others eyes and gave themselves completely up to this rare romantic interlude.

Hera said in a hushed tone of voice,

       "I love you Hutch!"

       Straight away Hutch said'

"I have always loved you Hera but not more than I love you right now."

Hera sighed as she sank into the arms of the man she loved.

The Rebel Alliance was very grateful of this monthly opportunity to facilitate their smuggling activities at this northern refugee camp. Bill Han was inducting the latest recruit to the vagaries of running the army blockade of that camp. He had read a letter from a dead man. This dead man recommended the sniper skills of the eighteen year old female in front of him. That was all Han needed to second her to his team. If Flint said she was that good she must be a brilliant shot. The rebel cause was short of decent snipers. Apart from their number one sniper Amelia Leong, they did not have anyone to match the army commando snipers. The Doras triplets in particular were cutting a swaith through their ranks of fit fighters. So Han hoped that they did not run into any commando patrol. Just outside the camp he halted to bring his inductees within whispering range. He said in a low, sobering tone of voice

"Up to this point we have had it relatively easy. Now comes the hard part. To get inside that refugee camp we have to outwit a whole army battalion. We do this by using coded messages. It its safe for us to enter by our prearranged tunnel then we get this code: RIDDLES!. If at any time there is danger, the code that we get on our smartphone is : FIRE. If we have to wait whilst moving in the tunnel we get the code: EGG. When there is a desperate need for total silence as we move into the camp we get the code: ONION. You newbies must remember this code!"

There is always one who wants to ask a question. Han noticed that it was Zaheer Anaheed . Shades of her stepfather he thought before saying in a cross tone of voice,

"Yes Zaheer what is it now?"

The young woman is scowling just like han remember from his days as Cain Flint's commander. She says in a scacastic tone of voice

"How are we supposed to remember what the codes mean?"

Han was ready for this question He said in a confident tone of voice,

"I gave you all three riddles to memorize. By recalling those riddles you get clues to what the code means. The first riddle is about a warrior who can obey but also savage. That is of course the clue for the code word FIRE. The second riddle was about the one sided chest that hides treasure but can be eaten. That is the clue for the code word EGG. The last riddle is the nonspeaking white body that makes you cry. That is the clues for the code word ONION. Learn those riddles and you will never make a mistake with these code words."

Having received the right code words the small bunch of rebels went to the tunnel entrance. They were told that they must do all their tasks once inside the camp and get out inside of four hours. No one would be waited for and if caught no one would be rescued. Bill Han said that he would stay on guard at the outside tunnel entrance only for the next five hours. After that the newbies would be on their own. With this grim thought resounding in their subconscious, these young recruits worked their way forward through the refugee's hidden tunnel.

As always Zaheer was first to the other end. As someone who had lived in one of these United Nations refugee camps in Australia she naturally assumed the leadership of this young squad of recruits. So she said in a firm authoritative tone of voice,

"You all have your assigned GPS coordinates. Deliver your material supplies and parts. Then got to your alternate GPS position to pick up the medical supplies and tinned food. We all meet back here in two hours from now. Check your smartphones."

The young people were dressed like the other refugees in slightly younger clothes than they normally wore. Everyone was told to keep their heads down put pretend to own the place. As they all had to pass as sixteen year old refugees they were not wearing any special watches. Smartphones were only to be used in emergencies and then only with the code word for help.

A little bit over two hours saw all the newbies back at the tunnel exit. Zaheer said to them in a proud tone of voice,

"Well done everyone. Any problems with the deliveries or the pick ups? Great then lets get back to Han's position."

The crawl back seemed easier than the crawl in to the camp. They all filed out to squat low in front of Bill Han. He took out what looked like a container of water from his large back pack. Then he said in an authorative tone of voice,

"Okay all smartphones into this container. No questions. We can't wait here any longer."

Reluctantly all the newbies threw placed their smartphones into the container. Han then gave his next order in a softer tone of voice

"Well done everyone. We are ahead of schedule. Now we make our way back to our base. No talking and please watch for my signals at all time. Zaheer you are up the front with me. Hamish you take the rear. Marianne you take point. Lets move rebels."

President Dent had just finished a three Presidents call that obviously pleased him enormously. It was very early in the morning but he knew that his assistant would be at her desk working. So he called her into his office. Nova Kaufman noticed Dent's good mood straight away. She wondered if this was an opportune moment to get a favor done that would pay back a certain National Security Director an old debt of revenge. But Dent gave her no chance to speak he began talking at the rate of a mile a minute. He said in an excited tone of voice,

"I have just got off a conference call with our two allied Presidents. They are of course coming for our Southern Hemisphere Games opening ceremony. The presence of the northern hemisphere's marines in some of our events as individual athletes gives her attendance credibility. Of course our nearest larger neighbor's President has a whole national team in our games. But my exciting news is that they will publicly СКАЧАТЬ
