There was a great deal of toxic sludge stuck in between her and the opening. With her dress’s powers now fully deactivated, Lina closed her Eyes and tried to Once again conjure forth the sacred Vision that had calmed her earlier, but it wouldn’t come. She was too wrought with anguish to concentrate. Harder she tried now with Eyes shut tight, but to no avail.
Opening her Eyes, Lina watched ahead as the fire kept growing, noticing that a great deal of the scattered sludge was flammable. She coughed as the smoke built up even more. Lina realized she had no time to steady her mind, noting it was also now much more difficult to do so as a severe sense of danger set in. She knew she must move quickly.
Sweating most profusely, her undying Heart thumping ferociously, she shook herself from the nightmarish trance she felt fixed upon. Swiftly, and with a Wicked gleam in her Eye, Lina raised her spear mightily upward with a duel grip and braced herself. With a frenzied shriek she brought it down, smashing obstructing grimy debris before her. She started trudging through the hazardous muck toward the opening just beyond the spreading blaze, her body in agony, her aura revolted.
The smoke was spreading, getting thicker fast. Lina “womanned” her long, sharp instrument before her vehemently like she was good at doing and continued viciously piercing all scraps of noxious clutter in her way with all of her might, flinging it behind her in determination as she broke for the opening. She kicked to the sides random rubble that was blocking her way, trying to make it easier for her to wade through. She felt nauseous and weak, but had faith in her ability to overcome this adversity; Magdalena was in fact a big, strong woman.
It was heating up.
But at least her helmet could now prevent smoke from choking her, Lina thought to herself, as her enchanted golden garb was now unable to guard her like it was designed to do. She also hoped that, if she were able to escape the burning ship, the helmet would be able to protect her lungs from any contaminates in the Earth’s surely spoiled atmosphere.
