      Through that which has been given each in their experiences in the earth is shown how they have had this or that in their experiences which has created, has builded the present conflicting influences. Meet them! In what? He, thy King, thy Lord; yea, thy Brother hath shown thee the way! “I am the way; I am the water of life.” Drink ye deep of same, that the healing you each may administer to others may flow as His love through thee! For love healeth the wounded; it binds up the brokenhearted; it makes for understandings where differences have arisen. For God is love.

       [Background: Hebrew, singer. She and her husband-to-be became strong supporters of the Cayce work and had many personal readings. She also had a very challenging relationship with her future mother-in-law.]

       Reading 938-1

       (Q) Am I justified in my dislike for the woman who upsets me so much?

      (A) Justified by what? “As ye do it unto those, my children, ye do it unto me.”

      There should be more love, more loving indifference shown by self, in respect to the individual. For ye have much to meet together. Let Him—let Him direct thy justifying. “I will repay saith the Lord.”

      Then, art thou justified? Stand rather justified before Him, in thy dealings, in thy judgements, in thy activities.

      For to think, to act, as if thou art lord or master is to belittle and degrade thine better self.

      (Q) Has she any real reason for talking and acting the way she does?

      (A) These arise from experiences where associations have made for the abilities of the self being such that the lauding by others has brought torments to the other. Hence be patient; be loving with those that would do thee harm. It is but pouring coals of fire upon their heads, and will bring to thee the greater satisfaction.

      For if thou dost conduct thyself, thy thoughts, thy acts, so that the Lord be on thy side, who can be against thee?

      Act the more often, then, that though they make for discourteous, unkind remarks, the Lord loveth rather him that can speak gently to those that would do thee harm.

       (Q) Will she aid or interfere with my future happiness?

      (A) Dependent upon the manner in which the self meets those experiences. Turn—turn the other cheek, when thy enemy, thy friend, would smite thee. Let the Lord have His way, and ye will find it will turn to a helpfulness in the experience.

       [Background: Project auditor, Protestant. This was a check life reading on an Egyptian incarnation and its influences on her present associations. Part of her counsel included how she could overcome tendencies in her relationships that had originated in her prior incarnations.]

       Reading 2390-7

      Thus the lesson to the entity: Do not let regret, jealousy, become a part of thy mental experience. These ye can control in thy mental self. Not always easy, but putting that purpose forth as indicated—the hope, the desire, the faith in the promise of Him—He may take away thy burdens . . . the Master, who is the way, mind and body, spirit and soul, may become one with that purpose of Creative Forces; that may not disintegrate with activity, but grow—as love—in demonstration; and feeds not upon the weaknesses or the miseries of others.

      Keep that faith.

       (Q) In what way do the regenerations of that period tie in with my present life, and how can I best use them constructively?

      (A) As indicated. Trust not in those things that are of the material making, but in those that are ever creative; letting those activities of self-indulgence or self-gratification not ever become the rule, but rather purposefully building towards the consciousness of the Christ-presence.

      (Q) In previous readings it has been given that I can recall certain experiences from past incarnations. In order that I may become more conscious of these experiences and they will help me to develop spiritually, please give instructions as to the method of meditation that will be best for me.

      (A) As indicated in that given, when ye would meditate—or when ye would sleep, put all hate, all jealousy, all regret, from thy mind—by filling the mind with the consciousness of the Christ-power. For, as He hath given, each soul is in that consciousness it has builded—by what it has done about universal consciousness in its experiences.

      Thus, as the entity knows itself, its weaknesses, its faults, put them away; trusting in Him. For His promises are to bring to the remembrance of all, that which will enable them to ever glorify God in their dealings with others.

      Thus, as given, to him who hath much, much may be given. To him who hath much, of him much is required.

      As others will, and do consciously and unconsciously look to thee—for a look, for a word, for an expression—so live as to ever be to others one that walks and talks oft with Him. This will enable the entity to fulfill that purpose for which it came into this experience.

       [Background: Stockbroker, Protestant. He was seeking advice as to how to help his ward (631) and whether or not finances he was eventually anticipating from an inheritance could be used for the same purpose.]

       Reading 1793-1

      EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1793]; and those conditions, those desires and purposes relative to [631].

      In giving advice and counsel regarding such associations and relations, desires and purposes and wishes, many phases of man’s experience and man’s endeavors should be taken into consideration—rather than saying alone “I will.”

      Rather are the circumstances in the present much in that manner as has been said, “Man’s extremity becomes God’s opportunity.”

      And unless one can truly say within, “Thy will, O God, be done in me, through me,” and then the life, the activities, the associations with the fellow man day by day in accordance with that prayer, that supplication—there is little hope for such an entity or body . . .

      Then let thy activity, thy prayer, thy supplication be in those directions, that:

      “As Thou seest, O God, use Thou me; that there may come to thy children who seek to know in this material experience the greater truth, the greater mercy Thou may show; not to be used in self-indulgence, in self-honor or glory, but rather in self-effacement; that the glory Thou hast shown in Him may be manifested in the lives and hearts, and in the bodies of these Thy children!”

      This is the manner, then—through prayer, though meditation; not as one shutting himself away from its fellow man, but knowing that it is as ye do it unto the least of thy neighbors, thy brethren, thy fellow men day by day, that ye bespeak of the fountains of purposes within thine own heart and soul respecting thy Creator!
