      Some people are just born witches. Others dabble in the craft before they become aware of their innate power. For me, magic made its presence known very early. Before I learned to read, I already knew my astrological sign; by the time I was five, I had learned the medicinal uses of herbs from my aunt Edie. She was my mentor, and though she would sooner have called herself a medicinal woman than a witch, she was wise in the ways of magic.
