СКАЧАТЬ he got this from, he said that he stumbled and rolled down the hill and fell into the thickets of the blackberry and so earned these wounds. The great – grandmother of Kosana first washed his wounds with warm water and then smeared with some kind of balm. Wounds have healed and life has continued, as it was before.

Every day, along with his grandfather Demetrius, they went somewhere and came back late at night. Grandfather used every minute to convey to his grandson the secrets that had been stored for a thousand years so that he would fully remember them. Always at the end of these exercises he kept repeating again and again that there would come a time when he would give these secrets to the new Chosen One. He will be from another family, but still from his kind. When he made sure that the child remembered everything and has the opportunity to use all these secrets, he left the world, by the grace of God, happy and pleased that he transferred his knowledge to another Chosen One. The funeral was huge.

“Glory to Most Merciful! He gave my father the opportunity to live for very old age and stay in peace and reason. Dear brothers, sisters, relatives, godparents, neighbors and friends, I want to wish everyone to live to his hundred and three years old, and look in this old age as he looks. “

With these words, my great – grandfather Mitar said goodbye to his father Demetrius. Even in his last days of life his father did not reveal to him the most sacred mystery that he inherited.

My grandfather, being still small, understood the meaning of the words told by his grandfather and realized responsibility which felt on his shoulders. Many times, passing sheep, he tested these capabilities. Having fixed the gaze on Garindzhu or on Bubitsu, his devoted dogs, and, without having said words, he allowed the order to his and her consciousness to drive sheep back. Dogs obeyed immediately. Then, always being alone, when nobody saw him and could tell others, he began to give commands to the leader of herd. Then he did it to a sheep and then to another ram. He was always capable to transfer commands to consciousness. Once he tried to force a donkey of one of neighbors to shout. It was interesting to him as donkey shouted so far the neighbor properly didn’t become angry and took a stick to beat it. He quickly transferred the command to the furious neighbor who at once stopped. And the donkey ceased to shout, because in its consciousness the team stopped. My grandfather noticed it instantly. When he transfers new command to one consciousness then earlier one stops to work. It is necessary to train and you will receive bigger and better results.

My grandfather often told my father as sees that many of them and people from other villages will die because something much worse than the Turkish occupation is being prepared. Once he asked father to take the gun and the axe and they went together to Machkovy wall. When they arrived, grandfather told him to make an ambush and to watch constantly the rock on the left side.

“Daddy, a wolf will appear over there, you should kill it and then I will show you something that none of our fellow villagers knows about”.

It didn’t pass even half an hour as in twenty meters from my grandfather a huge wolf appeared. The exact bullet hit the mark. The wolf fell as knocked down. Then my grandfather showed to his father well disguised entrance to a cave in which there were bones of the animals eaten by the wolf.

“Father, we can not tell about it to anybody, because it will come time when this cave will save lives. At first it should be cleared well. Look, father, – he specified direction with the torch, – I want to show you where in depth water follows. It is little, but there will be enough water for survival of thirty – forty people. And do you know what else here is good, father?”

“What is it, sonny?” – The great – grandfather took an interest.

“When the fire will be kindled here, there are small gaps through which smoke from the fire will pass in the rock on absolutely other side of the mountain. Let’s clear it at first and then we will bring branches, light fire, and you’ll see, what I told you about”.

“Let’s do it in other day. Now, sonny, bring the horse and I will make a stretcher of branches and so we will carry a wolf home”.

It was done so and then my great – grandfather began to call neighbors to look what he got. Then there was such a custom: when someone killed a wolf, all neighbors brought him gifts.

When all dispersed, the grandfather asked his father:

“Father, why you didn’t tell anybody, that I’ve helped you to kill this wolf?”

“Oh, my son, – began great – grandfather and tears appeared on his eyes, – if you knew, what things are told about you and how you are called by people from our village and in what situation I am wherever appeared, you would understand me why I didn’t mention you”.

“Don’t cry, father, I bless you. You know, your tears break off my heart!” – Grandfather tried to calm him.

“And do you think that my heart isn’t broken off, when I hear as people speak about you”.

“Who speaks, father? Tell me what is said?”

“It isn’t necessary, sonny. I don’t want to irritate you. Let’s me bear this freight”.

“Father, you should tell me. If you don’t tell, I swear that I will be able to find it out in a different way. And if I find it out in this manner, then I will revenge that person”.

So, told my seven – year – old grandfather and my great – grandfather was poured by cold sweat. For the first time, he asked himself a question what force he felt at a child. He felt, though is much more senior and full of strength, but he couldn’t win against this child in any way. It slightly frightened him. He was frightened not of own child and fight against him, but of some attempt to revenge someone from peasants who told tales about him.

      He began to tell him:

“Listen, sonny. I have two torments hurting me and I will tell you about them.

A few days ago, when I took our ox Galonya to Plav[7] for sale in order to be able to pay taxes and to buy all necessary for the house, I met the shopkeeper Goyko. Every year his cattle is recognized the best in our edge. And he brought an ox to sell. All surrounded it, watching an ox and asking the price. Here I and Galonya appeared. At that moment, the cadi[8] Idriz offered him the price, but someone shouted: “Look, this ox is better, than his!” People began to gather around me, giving me hands and trading with me. The cadi came also. At first shook hands, asked about a family, and then took an interest:

“Mitre, please admit, by what did you fed the ox and why he is so beautiful?”

“Highly respected cadi, we fed it only by grass, we are not that family, which has scraps which can be given to an ox”.

“Tell the Mitre, would you sell it for two ducats and fifteen aqca[9]? He wanted to pay the same for Goyko’s ox. You know that on this market nobody has sold an ox for such sum yet”.

“Highly respected cadi, I am ready to sell it at this price only to you”.

      But, sonny, Goyko has interfered:

“Highly respected cadi, before you finish the transaction I will tell you several words and after that you can decide whether you want to buy it or not”.

“Speak, Goyko. I will listen to you, but it doesn’t mean that I will obey”.
