      Oodles of Doodles

      Introduction:

      Why Doodle?

      You have most likely already been doodling for years. (Remember your

      school notebooks?) But as it turns out, it’s not an impulse you should

      suppress. This seemingly mindless activity has a ton of benefits:

      Doodling can help you focus.

      Seriously! Studies have shown

      that it can help keep you in the moment, and that you’ll remember

      more of what was going on while you doodled. So go ahead and

      doodle on your notes during your next boring class or meeting. You

      might just end up a better student or employee.

      Doodling relieves stress.

      And after all, it’s just a doodle; there’s

      no pressure to make it perfect.

      Doodling leads to new ideas.

      Creativity leads to more

      creativity. You never know what connections you might make as

      you draw them out.

      •

      Doodling can help improve your drawing skills.
